I sat there in silence remembering all the memeries. The phone rang inerupting my thoughts forming a jumbled mess. "uh hello?" i answered, my voice sounding dead. "Emily?" the familiar voice replied. "oh good! you finally answered!" finally? i thought to myself. i only remember the one phone call which was a minute ago..."ummm who is this?" i asked the guy on the other end of the line." its michael! you know... from our highschool? Emy-moon high?" ew. Michael was my ex boyfriend from freshman year (last year). "oh hey michael..." i said trying to sound somewhat enthusiastic. "uh- hold on a moment i have another call waiting." but im sure we both know their isnt. "oh yeah sure." he replied. I hung up. I put the phone down under a pillow and walked to my bedroom. i blared three days grace song, Riot, for an hour an a half straight then recieved a phone call from michael again. "hello?" i said with a half smile. "hey! um u hung up on me! i waited half an an hour and then my phone told me that i was "disconnected" an i freaked out!"
" umm it couldnt have been a half an hour if I was listening to my music longer than that." it was silent. then he spoke up a little louder. " even more reason to be upset. look I've got to go. ill call you later okay?" I sighed, " yeah dont expect me to pick up!"I replied. "why?"...." well if I wasnt so lazy then maybe you would expect NOT to hear the voice machine...hmmm... but I guess everyone has wishes sometimes? right?" I said super sarcastically. "sure... bye" are the last words I heard before I collapsed from the summer tears of last year. the same words and hollwness that made me think of the immortal that I dated last month. He had to leave forever. The same guy who left my life...forever. Shane. His story is longer than any book or movie ever made. But our relationship was about as short as an adult reading a baby book that had less than 10 pages. He came in an out of my life like a light switch... with tape over the bottem so i cant turn it back on. Talk about heart broken proof.
