The only thing that threw me was I had no idea he was on a plane. It was a little confusing. I thought he was at a business meeting or a party of some sort, from just the way you described it, but now I know he was actually on a plane. Other than that, you've still got me hooked. Are you planning to continue it? It definately seems like you've got a direction planned for it. Great job WWB.

Oh, dang! I intended to hide the fact that he was on a plane until the very end. Obviously, I wanted it to be..uh...obvious that it was a plane crash ending. I guess I didn't do that very well...*sigh*

Fascinating... I'm very interested in what you do with this one next. Great visuals at the end. Might I ask – are a lot of Mitch's details, the military history, the band playing, the family, are they based off you and your life?

Astute assumptions, JD...lol. A lot of what I write comes from a personal experience of some kind; either occured to me personally, told to me by someone I trusted and believed or, something I personally observed.

There's a lot of me in this chapter, yes; but it remains mostly fiction....;o)

I initially thought this was a suicide. Chap 1 did a great job leading to that presumption. Chap 2 has me completely rethinking the stream of events. I know much more about the main character's history. Chap 1 allowed me inside his head. I guess this is why there are chap 3s and 4s and 27s. I always wanted to plan my own funeral, but I've yet to figure out a way to pick up some snacks at the post-funeral luncheon. Speaking of snacks...gotta get me some turkey day leftovers.

Yeah I would have fainted too! I was thinking suicide too, now we're getting supernatural. Can never put a finger on Wwb or where he is going, but I am beginning to think he is the demon spawn of Stpehen King, no joke. Here's a sentence or two I really loved, that really encapsulates Mitch as a person, and got me thinking, hey I know this dude...

"Mitch was an atheist. That's not entirely true, he had believed in something greater than mankind, but he never worshipped whatever that something was."
