The sad part is, there are too many Alene's around living with pure jerks. I've known a few. I'd love to know why Alene puts up with this idiot? You have created a woman we care about and a man who needs a serious attitude adjustment. At least he didn't hit her.

I like Alene. Is there some of you in her? I hope you are not going to leave us in the lurch and not continue this story. You wouldn't do that to us, would you?

I think this is a great start to a story. Many strong,intellegent women find themselves in situations like this because one small control thing escalates into another and another until one day you wake up and realize the man you once loved destroyed who you are. And that's when you fight back.You did a great job capturing those emotions.

Very well written. You captured the emotions very well. This reminded me a bit of Sleeping with the enemy. You also left a nice open ending so that it could go in many different directions. Nice job. I gave it a 4.

Hi Michele. Guess you may have noticed I am following your work... I really like this story. And the title is perfect. Hope she really shows him too. Just a suggestion, but perhaps she can hook up with Matt in "The Mark" and do away with him...
