            “I wish I could go to the ball!” Cinderella cried into the night and she received a surprising reply.  A light descended from the starry sky.  At first Cinderella thought it may be a falling star, but it seemed to be floating towards her. 

            The light looked like a ball and she could hear singing from it.  As it landed on the walkway at the back door, a figure not taller then a foot, stood in light.  It was a woman in a shimmering gown,.  The very small woman smoothed out her skirts and turned around. 

            “Oh, there you are, my dear,” the woman said and started walking towards Cinderella.  As the walked towards Cinderella she grew and Cinderella could see more of the shimmering gown, that was the most beautiful gown she had ever seen.  By the time the woman was standing in front of Cinderella, she was a normal sized woman.

            “Who are you?” Cinderella asked.

            “I’m your Fairy-God-Mother, and I’m here to help you go to the ball.

            “Oh, I’d love to, but I have no gown,” Cinderella said sadly.

            “Don’t worry dear, I’ll take care of that, but first shall we go to the garden and see about a coach.

            Cinderella walked out to the garden expecting to see a coach.

            The Fairy-God-Mother looked around and said.  “What shall I make the coach out of.  How about…
