….she went to the attic to see if there was anything there.
There on the floor of the attic was an old trunk with her mother’s initials on it. She opened it to find her mother’s wedding dress.
“This I can make into a ball gown,” she thought, “all I need to do is give it some color. The leftover green material and beads from the gowns I made will do nicely.”
She sewed their dresses and worked on hers at night, leaving herself very little time to sleep.
As she ran errands for her family, she stopped and asked her father’s attorney if he would escort her to the ball. He said he would be happy to.
The day of the ball, Cinderella helped her Step sisters get ready, and then after they had left, she got ready herself.
Her father’s attorney arrived and they got into the coach…. Page 46
