            “No, my step-mother said the help, didn’t need to try it on.” Cinderella defiantly told him.

            Every female tries it on.  Let’s go in and do that,” he said getting up.  He was half smiling as he offered his arm to walk in with.  He acted as if she was a Princess in find clothes.  Cinderella’s step-mother was shocked to see the Prince and Cinderella walk in together.  “Please try the slipper on this fair lady, Duke.”

            “Yes, your Majesty,” and motioning her to sit, the Duke slipped the slipper on her foot with ease.

            “But, it can’t be,” her step-mother started, “it must be luck.”

            Cinderella reached into the pocket of her dress and pulled out the mate of the slipper.  The Prince reached for it and got on his knee and slipped it on. 

            “Cinderella, how could you steal yet another item.  You are such a disgrace to this family.

            The Prince waved his hand to silence Lady Tucknor.  He could see the fear in Cinderella’s face.  He smiled at Cinderella, and lifted her chin so he could look into her eyes.

            “Will you marry me, my dear?” the Prince asked on bent knee, taking her hand.

            “Yes!” she sighed and then….
