            ….Cinderella got angry with her step family and on her 18^th  birthday she left.  She had been saving the pennies they left around claiming them worthless for several years.

            Cinderella knew she found out that she would have to go to work and found herself a job in a wealthy family’s home as a maid and she worked very hard.  They praised her work skills highly and Cinderella realized she was not worthless as she had been led to believe.

            One day a Royal Invitation went out that decreed that all eligible women of the Kingdom must attend a Royal Ball.  His majesty the Prince was of age to take a wife.

            The family she worked for was very excited.

            She counted her savings and was disappointed  when she realized that she was unable to afford a gown.  She thought of asking for an old dress that she could make over, but found that she was too frightened to ask.  What if they become angry and she lost her job?

            On the night of the ball, Cinderella helped the others get ready and felt so left out that she went to the garden to cry.
