The Little Stray Thundercloud  by wiccangoddess58

One bright sunny day, a group of clouds were bored and decided to brew up a storm.  They were debating, discussing and arguing as to where they should show their grand display of nature.  One cloud wanted to go to Florida to inspire fear and awe.  Another wanted to go to Hawaii.  It went on and on like this with all the clouds.  Finally they decided to just point on a map and would go and give this town all of nature's fury.  They ended up picking a tiny town that no one had ever heard of, Donna, Texas.  So, they immediately headed South.  They gathered up all the strongest, meanest clouds in the bunch and off they went.  Unbeknownst to them a very small cloud tagged along.  As they went on their way, they met up with the wind clan.  They asked if they could accompany the clouds.  Happily, they agreed as they needed all the help that they could get.  They weren't in any hurry to get to the tiny town of Donna, so they just floated along, enjoying the beautiful day when they happened onto a couple of hailstones.  They stopped for awhile to visit and they agreed to take the hail with them.  As they had visited for a little too long, they had to hurry along their way.  About half way to Donna, Texas, they saw a very strange sight.  They were afraid to approach it, although it looked familiar.  Finally one of the strongest clouds decided to go closer to see what it was.  When he got near, he realized it was a lightening cloud, but it was one of the biggest he had ever seen.  He got closer and it came to him that he knew this lightening, he grew up with him, but boy, had he grown.  He called to him and they had a joyful reunion for a few minutes.  Then the cloud asked the lightening to come meet his friends.  There was a couple of the clouds who didn't like the newcomer and kept calling him names.  The lightening gave as good as he got and it made the two clouds so mad, that they started getting darker and darker with anger.  They wanted the lightening to leave, but they were out-voted by the other clouds, the wind and hail.  They wanted the lightening to go with them to wreak havoc on Donna, Texas.   So, off they went, with the two black clouds following slowly, getting madder and madder.  Meanwhile, the little stowaway cloud was hiding, watching all this.  He thought it was wonderful the way the two clouds kept getting darker because they were so mad.  He couldn't wait to see what would happen in Donna, when everyone got together to make Donna, Texas quake with fear and amazement.  A couple of hours went by and the little cloud got really tired, as the rest of them were going so fast; he could hardly keep up.  When at last, they stopped for the night to rest, was the little stray cloud ever glad.  He listened to their stories from his hiding place behind a large star.  He tried so hard to stay awake as their tales were so fascinating, but he was soooo tired and he just couldn't keep his little eyes open anymore.  Finally, he was fast asleep.
