I'm still trying to figure out the point of this chapter. It seems much ado about nothing. Perhaps if you had taken in another step I'd have something more positive to say, but I feel it's little more than a waste of time as is. Also, I'd strongly recommend that you write on Word, use your spell check and Style Corrections settings and paste what you write into this site after correcxting the errors. |

I was a little disappointed that one of my chapters weren't selected for the contest; now I see why. I doubt either would have beat this. I have to say I'm a bit envious, but more impressed. Can't wait to read more. |

I will if no one else does. The question is, will YOU add to it? |

I think you give humanity too much credit. You're obviously very intelligent and have a mastery of the English language (seriously, many of the "writers" at this site don't know the first thing about grammer, vocabulary, punctuation and syntax), however I am a firm believer that it it is impossible for more than one person to maintain utter secrecy. I'm afraid you might have mistaken The X-Files (one of my favorite shows) for non-fiction. |

I did, but I didn't like where it was going and abandoned the project. My hope is that someone will come up with something more imaginative than I did... sixteen years ago (which is when I wrote the original chapter). I have several short stories and novelas as well, but am not sure if I can post them in their entirety here. |

Nice work; you grabbed my attention and held it and now I want to know what happened to little Alex, however a couple things were not clear. For instance, how old are the children? What do they look like, even vaguely? Also, the narative switched mid-chapter from Alex to Ben. The dialogue seemed a bit forced and overblown, but overall believable. Now, while I may sound overly-critical, I can honestly say it's the best thing I've read all day... other than that Chapter of Dean Koontz's last Odd Thomas novel I read over lunch. |

Like all men--and most humans for that matter, not to mention certain pets, such as dogs, to which I bear a striking resemblance coincidentally--I eat up praise with a spoon. Thank you for the kind words, Amethyst-Eyes, and (said kindly with a smile and a wink) get to work! |

Thanks for your encouraging comments, dkk4510. So far, the only input I've recieved concerning my writing has come from my wife, family and friends, so of course I can't put too much faith in their words. I will certainly make more submissions and will read your pieces at my first opportunity. |
