The Vision  by vorgerinix

Chapter 2:The Vision
Meeting me after class, Geddick gave me a reassuring smile. He sped off to the next class, leaving me standing there, fearing for the worst.

Well, look at the bright side...I can at least skip mathematics which was my weakest subject. What's the point of skipping math class when I'm going to be expelled? I might spend my entire life cleaning grandma's shoes and clothes...The embarrassment I would see on my parents' face if they were still alive. The sight of seeing Doders laughing unpleasantly while I walked out of the school gate was worse than horrible. The entire class shouting with excitement,'Zaharix is expelled! Zaharix is expelled!'

I headed to the principal's office, walking extremely slowly, shaking my head sadly.

After about ten minutes, I've reached my destination. I heard voices which sounded like Mr Hurds and Mrs Degressor.

'...it can't be him, Zylix...', Mr Hurds was saying.

'I wasn't saying it was him! I was saying it might be him...', said Mrs Degressor impatiently.

'Zevrac revealiox, talk no more, Mary. He is hear...', mumbled Mr Hurds.

I hesitated, confused from what they had said. Zylix? Zevbok-what? What are those funny words? Are they even in the dictionary? I opened the door and walked in. Staring at both the adults, I sat down. Mr Hurds returned to his chair while Mrs Degressor rested on an armchair in the corner of the room.

'So... Mrs Ray, Mrs Degressor had already explained the entire situation to me...', he paused, as if thinking whether what he was about to say next was appropiate. '...but I'll like you to explain the entire matter yourself.'

If I tell you, would you believe me? Would that save me from being expelled? I thought angrily. He took his cup and drained the liquid patiently.

I looked at him and he returned my glare. I sucked in a lungful of air and began to say the entire matter.

When I reached the part where I focused my eyes on Doders and thye force pushed her backwards, Mr Hurds raised his eyebrow, as if in disbelief. I continued anyway and ended with,'I did not know what happened or how it had happened.'

'Describe the 'invinsible force'', he said.

'It was like there was a gust of wind...', I said, trying my best to recall. '...and it was like something punched her.'

'And you said that you hoped to punch her?', he asked.

  I nodded.

Mr Hurds looked at Mrs Degressor, the same shocked expression was written on his face as the one Mrs Degressor gave me.

'Okay now Zaharix. Rest your mind. Relax. Let your brain relax...', Mr Hurds said.

What the hell? He must be doing some psychology thing now. He must have thought I'm going a bonkers and losing my marbles. I gave him a quizzical look.

'Is something wrong with relaxing Mr Ray? Must I give you a comforting massage before you agree to relax?', he muttered, closing his eyes.

I followed his instructions. I relax... I feel as if I was going to sleep. My brain was like a computer and it was shutting down, down, down...

Suddenly, light flashed. I felt as if I was in some kind of trance. I was watching a boy of about three years of age. He looked like me. Well, duh! This is me when I was young... Muttered a voice inside my head. I was riding my first tricycle with the help of a man pushing behind. And in front, was a woman with silky long, blonde hair. She was pretty and the man and the woman was laughing. My younger body raised the little two arms, wanting a hug. The woman ran forward and carried me up.

'He's such a darling...', said the woman, tickling me.

'Just a few years and he would be training to be the best Oracle!', said the man, smiling.

'Now, now Jack... Don't go teaching him things like that before he even learns to talk.', said the woman sternly.

'Relax, April but no doubt he will follow his father's footsteps!', Jack said.

The baby smiled at his father and both the mother and father laughed. Another flash was seen and Zaharix was back into the office.

He had seen his parents! Last time, when he dreamt of them, their faces would just remain blur which gave him a great deal of disappointment. His parents, Jack Ray and April Ray! He turned to look at Mr Hurds, he was smiling.

Finally, he said,'At last, we have found the last Oracle for the next generation!'
