The story so far:
"I hate him! I HATE HIM!" I grumbled to myself as I walked through the brush.
I had run away from home that day. My father lost his job and had gotten drunk. He hit me and he gave me a bunch of pointless punishments. My mother wasn't even there to stop him. She was probably with one of her other boyfriends, cheating on her own husband. I was going to go back, but I needed to cool off a little bit. I shivered and wrapped my jacket tighter around me. I dug into my pockets for one of the packs of cigarettes that I had taken from my mother's drawer. I pulled one out and lit it, my body already calming down.
I kept walking along the makeshift path in the forest when I finally decided to get off of it. I turned left from wherever I was and walked deeper into the forest. I didn't think about getting lost at the time. Maybe I should've. I saw something big in the distance. Squinting, I couldn't quite see what it was. As I got closer, I saw that it was a door. "What the f-"
The door banged open and a boy stepped out. He looked around him before his eyes landed on me. He grinned as he came up to me. I started shivering even more, thinking he would try something, as he got closer I yelled,"Hey buddy, I know martial arts. You better not try anything!"
He snorted and pulled the cigarette from my mouth, placing it into his. "Like I would touch you! Don't flatter yourself, babe. I'm not into chicks."
I gaped at him, surprised that this random guy came out of an even more random door in the middle of a forest. He scrutinized me for a second, "Where are you from anyways? You don't look like your from Osdale."
Noticing that he wasn't going to do anything to me but still keeping my guard up, I answered, "I'm from Greenwick. It's just straight going that way. Where is Osdale? I've never heard of it or seen it."
His face darkened slightly, "It's closed off. The government locked us all up in there to stop a disease from spreading. They didn't know that there were still people in there. So they locked them up and left them there. My granparents were left here with the other people. No one knew any better."
"That is pretty crappy. I wish there was something I could do to help," I lied. It didn't really matter to me.
He gave me a grin that creeped me out and grabbed my arm. "Maybe you can."
His face grew angry suddenly and he hit me across the head. He looked blurry for a second and I saw him kneel in front of my face and look at me. "Oh my! I'm so sorry. Did I do that?"
I could hear the laughter in his voice. Suddenly he kicked me in the head and everything went black.
"HEY WAKE UP!"
Someone screaming in my ear woke me. I was a little dizzy and my head hurt. Everything was still blurry and there was a figure in front of me. I assumed that it was a girl because of her long hair, but when my vision cleared I found it to be a boy with greasy long hair. He was glaring at me but then suddenly his face changed to a happy one. "Hey Der, you sure found a cute one."
"No ideas Sloane. She's not a common whore."
The greasy boy, Sloane, pouted, "She could be."
"No I can't! You're not just going to force me to do anything with you."
The boy looked surprised before grinning, "Oh, I didn't think you'd be into role playing!"
The guy from before came up to him and pushed him away, "Go away Sloane. We need some alone time."
"Hey! You lied to me Derek! I thought you were gay!"
Derek slapped him and Sloane grumbled something before leaving the room. I jumped up and pushed Derek. "Where am I and why did you hit me?"
"Oh sorry, must have been the disease. You're in my room, in Osdale. We need your blood. We can use it to cure the disease since you don't have it."
"You idiot! What if I catch this disease! Then what will you do with me?"
"You won't catch it. The disease isn't around anymore, but the ones who have it are still affected."
"So is that all you're going to use me for? A vaccine?"
"Exactly! You can go once we're done."
"I don't think all of my blood will be enough for a whole city!"
Derek sighed, "Not a whole city. Maybe half. We don't need a whole lot. Just a little for each vaccine. Now all we need is a scientist."
"WHAT?! You took me and you don't even have anyone to make the vaccine?"
"SHUT UP!" He slapped me across the face and I could taste the blood in my mouth. His face went from angry to sad. "Oh, not again!"
He hugged me so that my face was pressed against his chest. It was then that I noticed that he was wearing a skirt. 'Wow he IS gay!'
"Look babe. People are in your town looking for a scientist now. No worries. A few months maybe a year or two and we'll be done with you!"
"What about my home? My family!"
"We'll leave them a letter?"
I was starting to get angry. "Who do you think you are? You can't decide my life for me! You just cant!"
