Innocent Killer Ch.1 (Part 2)  by the13lakes

“Alright you two, what happen exactly?” he asked us.

“Ah...! Well... the others and I lost our heads and ended up massacring your servants... all of us except Anthony. Anthony left his alive and when we finished, we went after his. Anthony defended the man from us. As you can see, he knocked the others out and he managed to pin me until I snapped out of it.”

  “Is that right?”

  “Yes...” I confirmed.

“Right then. I guess we do not need to put you in a pen and have you fight for leadership after all!”

“What?!” Johny and I both said rather loudly.

“Did I not tell you? Someone has to lead your team and after I'm dead and gone, to be the vampire king! Anthony, you are the leader of your kind. Jonathan, you stand as his right hand man, and next in line if Anthony should ever die.”

“Well... I was not expecting that...” said Johny.

*   *   *

From that day on we started our training in martial arts and swordsmanship as well as learning to better control ourselves, our power, and the best way to use that power. It did not take long for use to become masters because of another ability we had -a bonus Mr. Saxon added so we could get to work faster- that let us learn very quickly. Once we finished the required skills to do our jobs, we started studying other things that we as individuals were interested in. We were enjoying all the knowledge in take so much, we almost felt we did not need anything else, but of course people always need more then information.

Three years after being made Mr. Saxon has still refused to let us leave his estate even once. His werewolf butlers continue to watch us and are quick to snap their teeth at us for even the smallest of things. Sometimes it was even just to display their dominance or just to piss us off. Johny and the others were getting very sick of it and fast. More then once Johny has asked, begged even, to let him retaliate against  them. As much as I wanted to say yes I continued to say no. My patience was wearing thin as well though.

One clear evening Johny, Harry and I had just come around a corner to see a wolf unsheathe his claws well our only sister lay on the ground with a bloody arm. We waisted no time charging over to stop the beast before he could do anymore damage. We moved so fast everything else seemed to slow almost to a stop. I was first to reach them though and instead of attacking before the butler could land his next hit, I stepped right into the path of his attack and took it full on. The butler, Johny, and even Teresa were froze and looked at me in shock. In my rage I grabbed the butler by his collar, picked him up of the ground, and said “Do not come with in ten feet of her or anyone of us again or I will personally rip that pea sized brain of yours from your skull and feed it to you.” then roughly dropped him back down.

Lucky for him he was smart enough to know when to back off with his tail between his legs. Once he was gone from sight I finally let myself falter from the deep gash. As I fell to one knee Johny stepped closer and bent down to me to ask “Are you going to be alright?!”

“I will be fine... It might be good to lay down though.”

“I will help you get to your room.”

“No. Make sure Teresa is fine.”

“I Will be. It was only my arm so I will heal quickly.” Teresa said in her soothing tone of voice as she came around to the other side of me. “Thank you so much for protecting me!” she said, then gave me a kiss on the cheek.

“Why did you not fight back?! It would have been easy!” Johny demanded to know.

“Because it will only make things worse Johny. If you are so desperate to fight with them, then you are no better then them!”

  “But they-”

“No buts! It does not matter who started it, Do not fight with them! You may protect yourself, you may protect the others, but you can not attack them! And do not try and push them into attacking you either.”

  “but-”

“Enough! I understand that you are fed up, we all are, but I do not want us to drop to there level and act like mongrels...! I want it to stop as well, more then that I want us to be free to go if we want... I will talk with Mr. Saxon today and one way or another, we will get what we want. He can not keep us here against our will forever.”

“What do you plan to do?” asked Teresa.

“Talk for now. What happens after depends on what Mr. Saxon answers. Now, I should go rest well I heal...” I said trying to stand up. I stumbled though and when I did, both Johny and Teresa grabbed my arms to hold me up. “Thank you... and sorry...”

  “It is fine.” Teresa said

“I will help you to your room.” Johny stated.

“Teresa, I think I want to talk to Mr. Saxon now actually, bring him to my room please?”

  “Are you sure?”

  “Very.”

“Alright, but take it slow okay?” I smiled in response, and she smiled back then she turned and walked away.

A minute later I was laying in my coffin with the top open well I waited for Mr. Saxon. By the time he came by though, my wound was halfway healed.

“Anthony?” He said for the other side of the door.

“Come in.” I answered as I slowly sat up.

As he stepped in, he quickly said “I was told of what happened from Teresa... and she made sure I remembered.” he rubbed his ear for a second. “I can not apologize enough for this, I-”

“No Mr. Saxon, you can not apologize enough. We are tired of your butlers rude behaviour and abuse. I have done everything I can to keep the others from clawing out the eyes of every one of them but I can not hold them any longer because I can not deal with those mutts anymore! You either keep them away or I promise you, they will be put down like the rabid dogs they are! Whether I agree with it or not!”

“I... I understand Anthony... I'll make sure they back off...”

“Another thing Mr. Saxon. I demand you to tell me why you are still having them watch us and why you still refuse to let us go down to the town! Even as we are now, we should still have the right go out as we please!”

“I can not let you go out for the safety of both the town and you! You all have a natural born instinct to kill and feed! I can not set five immortal killers into a place with hundreds of people all around you. If that happened, no matter how good they are, their senses will go wild and they will start killing! And once they do the rest of the humans will start coming after you, and eventually they will figure out how to kill you!”

“Then let us take it slow. Let us meet people every now and then and slowly make the groups bigger to get us accustom with crowds without attacking someone! Give us a chance!”

  “No, Anthony.”

“That is not a wise choice Mr. Saxon. If you continue to deny us this with out giving us a chance, I assure you, we will force our way from this place.”

“Really... and go where? You have no homes to run back to. You are all dead to the world outside this mansion! And another thing, you owe me the lives I gave you, and more! You belong to me until the end of time! I'm tired of this bratty attitude from you and the other blood suckers! If you are going to keep this up I will start to enforce punishment and the butlers will continue to keep close! Now stop your ungrateful whining before I nail your coffin shut and bury you in the back with some silver then water your grave with holy water every day for the rest of time!”

“Unlike me, you will not live that long! You are still mortal because you have yet to alter your own body!”

“That is true, but it does not take much to change. Now good evening to you!” he growled, then stormed out of the room.

I knew with out being told that the butlers were now going to start guarding the doors and follow us around were ever we go after that. Which means that I would most likely have to do what Johny wants and fight for our freedom. I was reluctant though.

An hour or so later, my siblings and my son, Fredrick came to check on me and ask about my talk with Mr. Saxon... and why the butlers were now practically glued to them. They were all angry to hear the answer. After I had them hush down I told them in our fast talk -like all of our other movements, we could move our mouths and talk to each other at an incomprehensible speed that only we could follow- that we spoke in when we didn't want others to listen. “Because of this, I have decided to choke on my words and agree with Johny that we should fight back to get out if it comes to it. When we get going, I do not want anyone to stop as we make our escape. We take down who is in our way and keep moving forward. We also need to stay together. If we break apart from each other we will become easier from them to take down.”

“What happens if we fail?” asked Darwin. “As much as I hate to admit it, we do not have that much of a chance against the werewolves. They have more experience then we do and they are stronger.”

“That is true but they are slower then us. If we fail and they do catch us though... one or two of us may be killed and I have a feeling then rest will be locked down and tortured into submission. Which is why we will not let them catch us.”

“What about our blood servants?” Michal asked looking up to his who stood behind him.

“They will follow Harry and make an escape out another way well we have the attention of our fury foes.”

“And what about Saxon?” Johny asked “Putting our personal problems with him aside, you can not deny that he is a problematic and dangerous man. If we do nothing to stop him, he is likely to destroy more people by reviving them into these cursed lives. We should put him down.”

“You are right. But escaping might be impossible if we go after him Besides that, killing is killing no matter who it is and there is no why to justify it. I do not want any of you committing such an act.”

“You would not take a life even if it means saving others?” Johny asked.

“I will not take a life because there is always another way. Now, I believe Mr. Saxon is going to do something more to try and keep us here so the sooner we leave, the better.” I said as I stood up.

“But you have yet to fully heal!” Michal worried.

“That should be no excuse. We need to go right away. If I fall behind then leave me.”

“Bu-!” they all started to say.

“No buts! I do not want to see you so much as look back for me! Got it?!”

They all went silent and looked down, but eventually they all nodded to show that they got it. They definitely were not happy about it, especially Johny. He looked like he might cry. I can not say I blame him though, we have been so close the passed few years. It will be like losing a part of ourselves.

“Alright, lets get moving then. We will go through the window.” I said as I opened the large bedroom window. Everyone quickly filed out and jumped down from the three story windowsill. I jumped down a moment after. Once down on the ground we started running for the wall around the property line. When we got near though, we realized we could not get too close to it considering the amount of poisons to us were covering it, there energies alone kept us at a distance. If that was not bad enough, the werewolves had caught on and were now on our tail.

“Alright, we do not have the time to be standing around.” I said grabbing Michal by his shirt and pants.

“What are you doing?!” He shouted at me.

“I am throwing you over to the other side.” Michal looked very worried but did not struggle. Tossing him with all my might, I managed to get him over to the other side. After a moment he shouted back that he made it alright and that there was nothing on that side to stop us. Feeling pleased, Johny and I tossed Teresa and Darwin next, then Johny tossed Fredrick. Once they were over I quickly gabbed Johny and before he could start complaining, I threw him over as well. As I did I shouted “Goodbye!” to him and the others. Just as I did, I was tackled to the ground.

The wolves finally caught up. Just as they started to try and bite me to death, I broke myself free with my speed, got up behind them, and started punching the first werewolf I saw like a speed bag and sent him flying into the perimeter wall. After the wolf smashed into the wall it seemed he could not get back up again and instead turned back to his human form and passed out. I realized it had to be the poisons set out for the others and I. I remembered werewolves could not stand silver.

With that in mind, I got the idea to get them all as close to the wall as I could. It was going to be hard though considering it was me against about nine of them now.

Just as the next one came at me again I jumped up, landed on his head and pushed down to run him into the ground. I jumped up again as two more came at me from opposite sides. Because they did not see each other soon enough they crashed together over their first comrade.

Landing, I grabbed one of them before the others could get close and tossed him toward the wall. To my pleasure one of the others stood in the way and ended up getting knocked back as well, taking both of them out of the game.

Before I got my head back into the fight though, one of the remaining two I had taken down had gotten up and gave me the bear hug. For a moment I was sure this was it but at the last second I bit the wolf with my feeding fangs. As I did the fluid that knocks out my pray when I ate shot into his veins. The monstrous creature crumpled to the ground ready to be sucked dry, not that I wanted to try the wolfs blood.

I picked him up and jumped again as another two came at me from the front. Up in the air I tossed old dogs breath back down at another one of the werewolves and knocked him back against the wall as well, taking a fifth out.

To my surprise, one of the wolves had jumped up behind me as I started to come back down and slashed my back with his claws bad enough that I felt it even scrape my bones. When I hit the ground my legs gave out and this time I crumpled to the ground.

Another wolf picked me up and stabbed me with his claws in the gut a few times before he aimed for my heart. I managed to get an arm in the way of his paw like hand, then I broke free from his grip and knocked him out with my feeding fangs as well.

Before he could collapse to the ground I kicked him to the wall as well trying to get another taken along with him. Unfortunately he jumped out of the way then charged at me, aiming to decapitate me.

Bending over by the knees to dodge, I took a shot at his gut well it was exposed as he passed over me. Instead I ended up hitting his privates but I have to admit, although I felt some sympathy pain for him, it got the job done.

When he face planted behind me I was quick to turn and grab him by the foot and throw him to the wall next before he came back with vengeance. Just as I turned to my next victim, I quickly discovered that it was actually I who became the victim, as one of the wolfs finally stabbed me through the heart.

Now, in legend this kills the vampire but in reality, the object that stabs the heart has to stay in the heart or else it will heal and the vampire comes back. The wolves knew this, so they made sure I stayed on the claws until they got me back to the mansion and to Mr. Saxon in the basement.

“We caught this one sir.” the wolf with me staked on his claws said.

“Only one...?! well, at least it is Anthony.... where are the other werewolves?!”

“They were thrown too close the wall coved in silver... we could not get to them ourselves.”

“Fine, set him down over there and go after the other vampires. We can not have them running a muck out there.”

“Yes sir.” they finished, then left.

Soon after I finally woke up again with four cups of holy water around me well I am again binded to a steel table. “You got me did you? Well...you will never find the others at least. They should be long gone by now.” I said.

“You think so? I think I'll find them, and when I do, I will strap all of them down onto the steel tables make sure you all get daily holy water baths.”

“You will not get the chance.”

  “What makes you so sure?”

“Because your pets are going to think you are dead.” I said as I started to shake and struggle against my bonds well shaking the cups until finally three of them fell off the edge. The fourth spilt over and onto my right foot. Still, I managed to break my hands free then undo my feet.

As I tried to get the holy water off of me Mr. Saxon went for a bucket full. Mr. Saxon was to late though I managed to dry away the water with my shirt then weakly throw it away. Once I was safe, I grabbed Mr. Saxon and pulled him away from the water and said “Did you know about the secret room under this very floor? I was looking around a little one time and noticed a crack in the floor. When I checked it out, I realized it opened to a hidden room. Want to see it? I saw this day coming so its all prepared for us.”

Moving through the room, I dragged Mr. Saxon to the hidden trap door. Opening it I pushed him down it, then I went in after him and chained him to the bed. After that, I picked up the speed, went back out into the main house and started to set it on fire. Along the way, I ended up grabbing my security suit Mr. Saxon gave me. Finishing starting the fire, I went back over to the hidden room with the suit still in hand, and locked us into it.

“The fire should definitely throw them off.” I grinned. “On the other hand,  you should be able to live the rest of your life before we even need to go topside again with all the goods an such I put down here...”

  “You bastard!”

“Hey! At least you get to look forward to your freedom once you die right? I will not get such release as that now, thanks to you.”

*   *   *

The two of us really did stay down there until Mr. Saxon died but in the very beginning I had to tell Harry threw telepathy that I was not coming back and that i was sorry for leaving him behind like that. Harry respected my choice.

When Mr. Saxon did finally die, I made my way back to surface. It was apparent things had changed since I was last up but still there were some similarities and with my new found freedom, I decided to go check out the changes in the world for a little while. It did not take long for me to get tired of seen the world all on my own though. I thought about searching for my siblings for some time but I decided to leave them be in the end.

I decided to go back to sunset town on the west coast of Canada. There, I found a good house to parked my new coffin in. In the house I found a small storage room in the basement. I put my coffin in there and made sure the door was locked and jammed shut so if someone ever came here and tried to enter the room they would not be able too. Now, that did work like a charm but what I did not count on is that when I next woke up, someone would have had moved in and blocked the door -the only exit to the room- with a dresser and a mirror attached.

After waking up, I had opened the door only to find it smashing into the back of the mirror which made both me and the young girl laying on a bed across the room jump. I did not notice the girl right away as I was not paying attention.

“Why is this here?” I grumbled “Who the hell puts a dresser in front of a door any-” A loud scream cut off the rest of my mumbling. Covering my ears, I finally noticed the girl who had been staring at me as I came out of the old storage room. At the same time, another girl closer to the age I still looked, came charging down the stairs to see what the problem was.

This had to be worst possible way ever for me to start the next, most exiting chapter in my life.
