I think I will change my Bible quotation to Luke 4:1-2, to stress that what the guy is saying is of the Devil. God isn't impassible!

I encourage you to think about how our hero is going to respond to this news he has a role to play. He's been kind of passive so far. Does he have any friends who might help him? Maybe they haven't followed Christ up till now and all the weird goings-on are making them wonder?

And in para 1, do you mean `principle' or `principal'? ;)
