The Evolution of Woman  by thamagnopen

From the Birth canal to the outside world she comes, and the very first thing she feels is hurt and pain. And the very first thing she does before opening her eyes is cry. As soon as I see it's a girl I know her future, and that future is predetermined from birth.

She will spend her infant years crying, and then her terrrible twos crying, and then she will cry when being dropped off and left in kindergarden all the way through to first grade. Then the crying stops for a while until she is made fun of in elementary school about her hair or teeth or body or whatever, then shes crying and hurt again. Then there is middle school, now she is interested in boys and boys are interested in her but the one she likes seems to like someone else so shes hurt and crying again, and by now she added gossip and the gossip has gotten so out of hand she crying about what someone said that someone else told them about her.

Then she moves on to high school where every kid is trying to be cool in some kind of way to keep up with the rest of the pack. The boys have turned into young men, and the relationships are to many, serious now. So she meets the one, and they are going together but she aint putting out like the other girls are so he explains to her that he has needs and that if she cant satisfy those needs he will be forced to find someone who can.

Now she's a young adult and laying across her bed crying once again, but now faced with the big decision of sex. A decision she knows absolutely nothing about, and he doesn't either, all he knows is that he wants it because to him everyone else is doing it.

She decides after a night of tears that she will not give in even if it means losing him, and that was exactly what happened. So she is back to tears and heartache watching him walk the halls with the new girl who is giving it up.

The next three years she envolves herself into nothing but school work, she's a straight "A" student and by the time graduation comes she's at the top of her class, and in the top twenty in the whole state. So with all the honors and achievements she's off to college where she will start a new life. Now she is an adult and the others around her are all adults, and life as she knows it will forever change once again.

Her first cry involved missing home this time, though she thought it was gona be great to get away from the parents and siblings, but she was wrong. The sudden loneliness came over her in her dorm room and she finally absorbed the thought that she was by herself now. The quietness was deafening and the room was closing in all around her. She reaches for the phone and calls home for some reassurance and friendly voices. When her Mother picks up the phone and says hello, they both are crying within five minutes of the conversation. She even speaks to siblings that she didn't hardly speak to when she was at home with them, simply because life now was different and everything had changed.
