A young lady that had came to the unit was very mildly mentally challenged and was psychotic. In her mind I was someone she loved, when this was the only encounter we had. There was something about her that I was drawn to and it was quite hard to remain detached in a professional aspect because all I wanted to do was make it better. Before I could make any progress with her, she was transferred to another facility. It was a very heavy experience.
