The end of the war  by rmbm777

After years of fighting the two stood across each other. Both breathing heavily and cover in sweat. Both had the same goal, to destroy the other. Years of fighting brought them to this day. They look at each other. One has the eyes of hate, the other of love. Today one will claim and the other defeat.

The one in dark black stepped forward. He waited for this day a long time. The day he destroyed the one who stood in his way. He grinned. He knew his opponent well. He knew his moves, his strengths and his weaknesses. He knew what he stood for and that is why he had to die

Across the room stood the silent one. The one with the kind eyes. He too knew what today would mean. He needed to win, not for his own victory, but for someone else’s soul.

His foe stepped forward, like every other time, silently challenging him to start this final fight. Everything he learned. Everything he has ever done has brought him to this moment.

Slowly he too stepped forward excepting the challenge. He breathed in deeply, trying to get the tension from his body. He flexed his hands, his fingers, his legs, his whole body, preparing for what he knew would come.

The battle started. They both had equal strengths. They gave a hit for a hit, a punch for a punch, an attack for an attack. Both fighting with their whole beings. Both fighting. Both knowing the cost they will pay if they lose.

As the fighting continued, both sides started to grow tired. They circled each other, one face full of hate, the other face filled with hope. Their breathing deepens; their thoughts and feelings are heard by the other. Both plan to win, no matter what.

They attack each other again. Their powers equal, their strengths, their weaknesses, all are equal. But then something starts to happen. The one in holy white starts to feel a new strength come over him. A strength he has never felt before. It ran threw his body, changing him, making him feel whole.

His foe sensing the change backs up his eyes filled with fear. He sees the man’s face change. It becomes filled with a soft glow. He turns to flee, feeling that his life would soon end. But he’s grabbed by the changed man and thrown to the floor. He turns to face the changed man, knowing that his time has come, knowing he could not win or even save his life.

But he is surprised when the man says “Go! If I ever see you again, you will not be given a second chance.” Shocked the man in black stared at the changed man in white. Why? Why let him go? Why not kill him? Then he realized that it was a test. In anger, he charged at him, but was stopped. With a single touch, he died.

The man in white looked down. Down at the dean man. The one who use to be his friend, his brother …his twin! A sudden sadness filled his eyes. He gave him a chance. Why didn’t he take it why? He cried. Tears falling down his face like rain.

A hand touched his shoulder. He knew who it was. He knew that he understood that he tried to save him. He turned to face the son of God! He lowered his head and bowed down on his knees. Jesus looked at him, with teary eyes and said “Go! She’s waiting for you.” He rose, spread out his wings and left.

Down on earth a young girl had tears on her eyes. She just gave her life over to Jesus. Her whole life had been a struggle. Nether side winning, till this day. She felt peace come over her as she finished her prayer. Asking forgiveness for her sins and guidance in her life. She turned her head as she felt a heavenly presence but no one way there. .

But unknown to her, there was a heavenly presence. An angel, her guardian angel, stood by her side. And as she walked out of the church, he too went; ready to fight again if anyone tried to stop the child from entering heaven .

But little did he know that the battle was far from over.....
