Deana looked at Lily and pouted. It wasn't her fault she could see the weird looking pixie.
It was a dark night and all she wanted to do was follow the pretty pink light into the forest. How was she supposed to know that it would end up taking her to the middle of a forest?
As Deana sat and stared at Lily, pondering her, no their misfortune, Lily's grandmother came back with a ring of glowing lights behind her.
"We have come to a decision," said Lily's grandmother "Lily was right in the beginning. You can not go home."
Deana gasped.
"No! I can't stay here! I need to go home to my mom and dad! I have to go back to that awful charm school and take care of Sam! Who will take care of Sam if I'm not here? You can't make me stay! I need to go home! I'm sorry I followed Lily! I just wanted to see what the pretty glowing light was! But I need to get home! I want to see my parents again!"
Pools of tears gathered in Deana's eyes as she watched Lily's grandmother look on sympathetically.
A stout snot colored pixie stepped forward and glared at Deana," Did you not hear what Lizbeth said? You CANNOT go home."
"But... but. Why?" Stammered Deana," I promise not to tell anyone where you live. I promise! I need to go home!"
Sniffling and clutching the hem of her dress, as she did whenever she got nervous, Deana sat down, eyes silently pleading with the snotty pixie to show her the way home.
"We've reached a decision. You will not go home."
