Paranormal Dissent  by philly1

It was a cold November night, just after 10pm. You could hear the wind through the leaky seals in the windows, and the freezing rain as it hit the sidewalks.
Tammy a middle aged woman, whos' hair was greying and stomach was slightly bulging, had just finished watching a slasher movie was going to check her emails and head to bed. She was an emotionally strong woman.
She had just lost her partner to an unexpected death and was dealing with things pretty well or at least as well as you can deal with death. She wasn't scared by much but in the past few nights she would be lucky to get more then four hours of sleep. She was never a believer in the paranormal and wasn't about to start believing now. When people die they have to go somewhere she thought, be it heaven or be it hell. She had only prayed her partner went to heaven. her partner Pam was a beautiful woman. Her flowing long brown hair caressed her face like a soft hand. She was very strong in character and it could be seen in her soft blue eyes. She was very well proportioned for her size. Even when her body became ravished with cancer she was still beautiful. Tammy would go everyday to the hospital and brush her hair, wash her  and make sure she had on the make up she wanted before she would go for her treatments. As they wheel out Pam for her treatments Tammy would stay behind and she could hear the nurses as they talked so freely. They left nothing to chance as the discussed their moral beliefs on Pams' homosexuality and their desire to not be her nurse at anytime. They were even so stupid as to think Pam could convert them to her side as if that were even possible. Tammy finally being so sick of the crap, walked over to them and stated
" If we could convert straight people to homosexuality we'd never want pieces of crap like you. Don't know where you get off making someones lasts days on earth as miserable as you have been trying. You could only wish to be half the women that Pam is." Tammy was screaming
" Is everything alright" Pam asked as her wheelchair rounded the corner
Tammy reassured her that everything was fine just a misunderstanding, but everyone knew different. It wasn't too long after that Pam died.
Tammy was just getting by now and sleep it was just a commodity she didn't care much about. Living without Pam was the chore.
Now she was hearing noises and was convinced it was the lack of sleep or the deeping missing of Pam that played tricks on the mind. Either way it wasn't anything paranormal. Or was it?
