This was pretty sweet. I like the way you show that the character's mind is barely hanging onto the edge of sanity, and only barely hanging on with the knowledge and safety of a last bullet for himself. Well done.

Great story here Nash. Midway through I was actually starting to wish Smokey would be thrown out the window as well. He is a truly detestable character.
