My wife refuses to concede that my hair is brown.  I refuse to see it as black.  It's dark - very much so - but I've seen people with black hair and I'm not among them.  It's beyond the dark brown of M&Ms (when did they stop making the light brown variety?).  It's just about the color of a Reese's individual wrapper, so long as the peanut butter cup is still inside.  Compared to the lighter brown of the chocolate, it resembles black.  But it isn't.  It's one of the many pointless things she and I debate, especially when we meet someone new who will take sides.  I even point out people I see who do have black hair as well as how different (and often blue-tintish) black hair looks from mine.  It'll be nice when I go completely white - except she'll inevitably call it grey.
