Feeling geektastic today, wondering about the distribution of whites and greys among the dark brown. I've seen people with a patch of white hair, almost as if they spilled bleach on a wig. Like most people, I'm taking the gradual route and going progressively lighter. The strange part is I'll occasionally yank a white hair and find it still has a dark root. Strange. Using that logic, if I want to get rid of the light hairs, I should simply go long, then trim the white ends. Or is it cyclical, so if I grew long tresses, they'd have stripes of black and white? Is there an underlying checkerboard pattern waiting to be displayed? Maybe it's like a college football stadium, where each bleacher seat is assigned a placard and when everyone lifts them up simultaneously, it creates an altogether new image? Yes, of course! (In my case, the new image looks suspiciously like my hair.) Yet another foiled opportunity for the things inside my head trying to get out. Ah well.
