Hair Twenty-Six

Shampoo. The first half of the word is "sham" - fake, fraudulent, untrue. The second half is "poo." Did whoever named hair soap think it was appropriate to term it as false crap? Sounds to me like there was a bet involved somewhere. Though I don't know who won, I have to believe the English speaking public lost. Beats Truepoo, I suppose. (Once again forefronting the question: "Is it better to pass or fail an idiot test?")
