In the real life story, my friend John was bullied every day. His father would always drive behind him to see if he would fight back or not. John never did. His dad always yelled at him when he got home, calling him a pussy and being sickened with his son's humility. John left home when he was fifteen and never had a relationship with his father. John is now 46. |

Thanks, Blackhand. I showed it to my mom and of course, she cried. I thought it was just a fun little way to show them how much I care. :) |

I appreciate the feedback. I am confident in all the work I have published on this site. I too realized that the first commenter has not published anything. How does that saying go, "Judge not, lest ye be judged." |

I loved it. I thought it was great. I was so involved in the story, I wanted it to continue. I can only imagine the horror Ben will feel being left alone by his brother, his protector. It really was enganging and emotional. Very well written! |

Thank you for your thoughts. When I was ten I was playing softball and riding my bike, not wondering about complicated economic theories. You're way beyond me in your thinking! I appreciate your intelligent curiosity and your addition to my commentary. |

Blackhand, I'm so sorry I didn't respond sooner. Honestly, I haven't been on the site in several weeks. I loved the chapter. I thought it was true to the characters and very suspenseful. Perhaps I'll continue on to a third chapter. Well done. Thanks for your addition. |

Me again. I just read your preview. I wouldn't call this horror as much as drama or political realism. Just a thought. |

I loved this. It was very emotive and intense. It was simple, yet very powerful. Very good writing. |

I would like to offer this chapter for all of those who feel frustrated and distraught over the current international economic situation. Please add your own chapter if you have any venting to do. |
