You can only try. I'm new here too, so I'm afraid, I'm not a lot of help.

Hi Darrell, I'm new here, so I doubt if I know you. Pleased to meet you all the same.

Er . . . me + computers -- I'll give it a go. Thanks for getting back.

It'd be much easier if there was a separate poetry section. It might also attract more members who write poetry -- StoryMash does make it sound like a site more for prose.

Hi -- tried to fill in the form but the site's details [in grey across the middle of the page] obscure the Post Code box. I can't click on it without activating the grey script.

Any way round this?

Yep, I agree, it'd nice to see recommendations somewhere easily found on the forum.

One of my stories is going to be featured in Body Gossip when it is launched in September -- no money, but it'll be in print!Backed by the team who have been doing TV programmes about body image in schools, and supported by Gok Wan for a celebrity touch.

Yep -- save your *telling* parts for when you want to move on swiftly and the information needs to be included.

Regardless of what you do, if you want to get published, you'll have to meet the publisher's standards. For first time publication you'll have had to show either the most amazing story in the world, or a damned good story that is error free, doesn't break any rules unless it significantly adds to the style and is presented according to submission guidelines.

It sucks!
