A Snow Monster  by moon_flower_girl123

The cold embraces me as I step out to my front porch. Everywhere, I see the glistening snow...so pure and white, and yet to be trod upon by the children next door.

I abhor the chilly wind, whose only purpose is to eradicate my comfort. In the distance, I see the frozen ocean and I wonder sadly, if those poor sea creatures are swimming with ease in the icy waters underneath.

I let out a sigh, and continue the path to the blocked driveway, but then, something caught the corner of my eye. It was a snow-flake. How beautiful those tiny crystals are! I gazed into the Heavens, and was surprised to see millions more charging frantically down. I hurried back inside my home and watched the snowstorm from the window next to the fireplace.

If the snowstorm had caught my breath, then the next thing I saw blew me away...I could not believe my eyes. On the opposite side of the frozen lake, a garguatuan figure emerged from the snow-covered forest. I almost screamed with fright.

A snowman about 5 meters tall was trampling closer and closer to my own household. Its beady eyes were glowing with anticipation and his arms made with sticks, were placed upon his hat, in keeping it from the fericious wind. I could not take my eyes away from this snow monster, my mouth stood agape and my eyes widened with horror...
