Drinking Down (avant garde poetry, mature)
by mjbelluto
The games over and yeah I lose.
Oh well find something new to do.
He sits quietly as he eats.
It's like he's waiting for something.
Like some sort of treat.
Waiting for someone to say something else.
So he quietly has a reason to excuse himself.
But the moment is gone.
And now he's done.
So when nothing is left to do
Drink I'm sure he will.
I made the call.
And now I know the truth.
You found someone else to interest you.
So my job is done now.
Enter your depression.
I found a way how.
Too bad the moment is gone now.
Drink til I can't type.
What difference does it make.
Your not someone I'm going to take.
So you found someone else.
That's good,
Too bad I am a little bit jealous.
I still want you in my life.
But I know that can't happen,
I had my chance to say goodbye.
It's gone now, but I still want you back.
All you have to do is give me one last chance.
That's all you'll ever need.
Yeah i'm drunk and I'll continue to drink.
Until I can have my way.
There's so many things left I need to say.
Give me the option.
Show me the way.
You might be amazed at what comes your way.
But I'm done now to faded to type.
But I know the feeling.
And I know it feels just right.
Oh well find something new to do.
