The story so far:
“Where am I?” David asked.
“You are at the hospital. Are you out of your mind? What came into your mind to do that silly thing?”
“I do not know what I am going to do. My wife and baby died. They are my life and I would rather die than to live without them.”
“I know it is hard for you to lose your family but you should now move on. Doing nonsense things will not help you anyway. Always remember that your mother and I are always here beside you. By the way, I have something to tell you. Your mother is now on this hospital because she slipped and hit her head on the floor. She suffered brain damage and it looks like she has amnesia.”
“Oh my God! What is this happening to me?”
The room’s door slightly opened and a voice came out.
“Sir, excuse me but the doctor of your wife is looking for you.” Paul said.
“Paul, can you watch him for a while?” David’s father said.
“Sure!”
His father slowly walks to the door while Paul seated beside David.
“You really have a hard time, don’t you? You know, you should not be too much dependent on your family.”
“How can you say that? You don’t still even have a wife and a baby.”
“But my parents died when I was young. It has been difficult for me to accept it since I was only 15 years old when they died but God helped me to overcome grief.”
“I don’t believe in God. If he cares for me, why did he let this happen to me? ”
“I have something to tell you. All things happen for a purpose.”
“So you mean it is his purpose to make my life miserable. “
“The problem is in you. You’re being too pessimistic. You always think of everything as negative. ”
Silence reigned on that time.
“If you know the solution to my problem, please help me.” David said.
Currently, Paul opened his bag and gets a book. He handed this to David.
“Is this… a bible?” He asked as he opens it.
“Yes. He is the answer to all of your problems. All that is happening to is a test. God tests you if you will still trust in him in spite of all these things. Just believe in him.”
