I'd be happy to.

I have a book published through lulu.com, and it does decently, but I'm not quitting the day job anytime soon. For niche markets, like erotica, which is my specialty, p-o-d publishing is a good way to go. The big problem with "big publishers" is that there's a HUGE influx of material to them and you have be a combination of very good and very lucky to get your stuff to stand out. You can always work with an agent, but that's no guarantee either.

Interesting. But not how I saw it in my head. In the story, even though she knew him, he knew her, things didn't click until that very moment. There wasn't teasing. There was just a moment of spontaneous hunger (on her part), and recognition (on his part). I can see where that didn't come through for you.

I'd also think you may have missed a sentence or two, now that I re-read the piece a few times. He did hear her audibly sigh when he cracked the whip. And they have been working together for three months now. So, maybe that sigh she made was a key moment for both of them. Still, I do see your point.

hebe - it is a valid criticism. "Flash" fiction is a very tight format. It's a challenge to squeeze all that stuff into 300 words. What's interesting is, with just a sentence or so, sometimes an extra word or three, you can speak VOLUMES.

I'm flattered. I've been writing a lot of "flash" - limit of 300 words - for Ruthie's Club lately, so it's a format I've been sticking to recently.

I was so distracted by the bad grammar, wrong capitalization, and poor wording, that I couldn't enjoy the piece at all.

Thanks, WWB... I've been writing and submitting work to RuthiesClub.com, which has bought and published a bunch of my stuff recently!
