When waiting for the lift, she looked around her  by madugundukrishna

Savita entered he hospital. She had to go to the 3 rd floor. She looked forward to riding in the lift.

There was a board near the lift. `Stand in queue.’ Savita saw a line of people waiting to visit their near and dear.

Savita had to stand in the queue for her turn. But there was no pushing and shoveling. Everyone could get into the lift comfortably.

When waiting for the lift, she looked around her. There was another board which read `Silence please’.

`Father, why s that board there?’ she asked his father.

`Well! Hospitals treat people who are sick and when people are sick they need a lot of rest and quiet. That is why you need to be quiet in the hospital,’ said her father. `Remember, do not shout, laugh loudly or make noise while walking, Savita.

Savita made sure she did not make ay noise with her shoes when she walked his room, she saw that a doctor and her mother were busy talking.

She wanted to rush to her grandmother. `Savita, wait. Do not interrupt when others are talking something important. You can talk to grandmother after they have finished,’ Savita’s father cautioned her.

Savita waited patiently till the doctor left. Even then, she was careful about talking softly so that she did not disturb other patients. There are places where you should be salient and places where you can shout and scream.
