Real is what you perceive to be normal. Most people are pretty superficial/selfish/shallow, and they observe a few outward appearances of things -- they don't perceive a lot. Someone could be as much of a **** Hitler as he wanted to be when he thought no one was watching just as long as he kept an outward image that conformed to the black-and-white, saccharine-sweet, 'i love lucy' style ideals of his community when he knew they were. Heeey...it's a FUNeral...its on TV...it must be real. If someone didn't think so...somebody should've told them they had neurons misfiring in their brain. You would think that most 'normal' people would consider it okay to think someone else's pain was funny.

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying other than your first two sentences. I agree with you on those two points to an extent.
