I'm not sure I understand what you are saying other than your first two sentences. I agree with you on those two points to an extent.

Haha thanks. I thought about doing that actually and I found that it really took away from the tone of the scene. I really wanted it to be a little dark, conflicting and sultry. Going the other route would just kill the mood.
