Internal Confusion  by ladyvike15

There's a war

in my head,

two parts of me

fighting for

victory; control.

My mind's screaming

names from my

past, reminding me

of the many that

I've hurt.

My heart's yelling

back furiously,

like a loud bass drum.

It sounds out

his name, above all

else; ringing through

my ears and soul.

My eyes are glancing

all about, deciding

if I need to switch my gears.

I know not of

what my purpose is

in this crazy mess.

But somehow, I

do knowm that I'm

truly blessed.

I have no plan

of what I am to do,

I'm just an

average teenage girl.

Someday soon, this will all

make sense,

then I'll find my way

back to your arms again.
