As you all know, the industry of music has taken over almost the entire world. In the music industry, there are good things and bad things. The good things consist of music telling messages to the world; good messages that lift the hearts of people who listen to its songs. For example, Beautiful by Eminem tells people that you can't let anyone judge you for being the way you are. Because it's not what's outside that counts. It's what's inside that counts. That's what makes you beautiful. Or, Brick by Boring Brick by Paramore. It shows a message that you can't spend your whole life living in a fantasy world. One of these days, you have to step back into reality and face the facts yourself. You can't cower, or else you will endure more pain. These songs are the kind of music that people SHOULD be listening to.
And then, there is the BAD music. First of all, let's start off with Favorite Girl by Justin Bieber. The lyrics, "So prettier than all the rest," states that ONLY PRETTY GIRLS can win a boy's heart, or in this case, Justin Biebers'. And you know the song that got leaked, Rich Girl, by Justin Bieber featuring Lil' Wayne? Enough said. This is the kind of music that's bad for the soul- makes people feel bad about themselves. And do NOT get me started on Ke$ha. Blah, Blah, Blah? Tik Tok? My Love is Your Drug? WHAT? How does any of that bubblegum crap help ANYONE at all? Sure, it's nice to dance to, but what about the lyrics? And the singing? She sings like's she's DRUNK!
And don't you forget those wierd music videos! Dirty Picture by Taio Cruz ft. Ke$ha is NOT good. AT ALL. It displays nothing but a guy driving in a car, and inaproppiate things that isn't good for the public eye. THIS is the reason why kids today know about drugs and sex!
But don't worry- the songs like Need You Now by Lady Antebellum, According to You by Orianthi, and all of the songs that you know and love, yet doesn't really portray a message in the songs about you, but about love isn't all that bad. In fact, it's good to listen to, because it might reflect on what you're feeling right now. So, that's good. But listening to songs that reflect how concieted the world today is just... not good. It does nothing to lighten the spirits of people- it only brings them down.
Please, send this to your friends on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Youtube, or anyone else, so you they can know the dangers of the world today, and hopefully stop the bad tunes, and face the music. The GOOD music.
