Junior sat huddled in a corner outside of what used to be the old Sears and Roebucks department store in downtown Oakland. It had been raining all night and now it was eight o'clock in the morning and still raining. Junior thought he could make himself sleepy if he counted the raindrops but after the first twenty or more he became frustrated, because the raindrops were falling too fast.
He sat there, dirty and stinky from wearing the same clothes for weeks now. In fact, they were the only clothes he owned now. When his father threw him out six weeks ago, he wouldn't allow him to take anything with him.
"I owned all your junk now. It became mine when you stole from me!” said Elder Baker.
"Now you go out there in that cruel mean world and see what you can still to survive"!
