Randomosiphies of the idle mind - part 1- "SEARCH"  by insert_username_here

Brothers and sisters,

singing harmony

“I got your back,

You got me.”

But wait a second-

I’m not in this family.

I’m not in west town, east town, north town, nor south town.

Now my face smiles, but alone-

Watch it frown.

See, right there?

The corners go down,

down, to the ground,

Trust buried underneath-

Which is where I want to be.

Because this family

isn’t for me.
Even if I scream,

if I cry,

turn my face to the sky,

all that comes

is rain

and pain

that always remains.

Because all we want

is to belong.

To sing together-

A beautiful song,

To be okay when we’re wrong.

Rest our heads and cry,

saugh,

sleep,

smile,

To be safe for a while.

Therefore, we search.

God pats our heads and sighs.

His invisible hands, so kind, so kind.

He sees our struggle,

His tears come down from gray skies-

For His children, He cries.

As we look for our kin,

He watches above,

till we find them again

love meeting love,

melting together

I wonder.

I cry.

I see tears fall from the sky,

until I find my family, my siblings,

and we spread our wings,

and we fly.
