Day Sixteen: Tomato Flesh  by honeygloom

Plucked from amidst it fellows, I’m taking this little tomato inside to describe because it’s really hot out today. It’s a grape tomato, so (surprise) it looks like a big red grape. It’s bigger than a green grape, probably about the size of a black grape. It’s elongated, cylindrical, with rounded ends. One end shows the scar where I plucked it from its stem, the other is inverted where I think, normally, it would poke out. It’s an iny (inie? who knows). And while I’m holding it, looking at the inwardly rounded edges of the tomato iny and the smooth, hard flesh… I’m not going say what it really looks like, even though it would make the first bite that much better.
