So this is more of an exercise than a project, but I really liked the idea when I saw it and it seemed like something that would be interesting to share. I found the idea on N.D. Wilson’s blog (www.ndwilson.com) so I’m giving him credit for it. Basically, the idea is this, you pick one thing and describe it in a paragraph every day for thirty days. Wilson’s examples were the sunrise and a glass of wine, but it could be anything from your fish tank to a plant in your garden. Pick anything that won’t change too much over thirty days. The idea is that you’ll eventually either give up, or start breaking rules and really dig deep to find your inner writer. No need to sign up, but I’ll make a forum post for questions. Just post your entries under this one and each person should have thirty chapters. It would probably be helpful to include what you’re describing in the title.
Then, at the end of thirty days we’ll decide by highest star rating which one is best and we’ll put that up as a start chapter for a new project to see how good you really are!
