Throughout this series I have been struck by how a seemingly insignificant detail about the tomato plant has led you to an observation on the wider world/human nature around you, often whilst bringing a smile to my face. Thank you! Not sure if you have read any Alexander McCall Smith but he uses this technique to great effect in his work too.
