The story so far:
She realizes that this traumatic event was caused from a mild concussion that had put her in shock. It had also taken away her sense of smell. She can no longer smell flowers, soap, incense, candles, food or perfume. Is this temporary or permanent? She is feeling better now, and she decides to go to the mall to buy a book that she needs to read. The first mall didn't have the book available in stock, but the second one had many copies. Since she has been getting enough exercise from walking in her neighborhood, she decides to go to the gym again. The next morning, after eating her breakfast, she changes her clothes and walks to her local gym. The gym felt stuffy, but she does her usual workout. She walks back home to relax and drink something cold. As she meditates on her refreshing cold drink, she realizes that she still feels different. Like it is a rebirth. As if this whole crap happened to give her an opportunity to start all over again, start a new life, and forget the old life, the old Fiona. Forget about Fiona the fashion model. She is now...now...what is she now? Fiona the writer? Fiona the Digital Artist? Fiona the Photographer? Fiona the Creative Director? She is not sure anymore. But she is sure of one thing, she needs to move on and get out of the shock and rut that she is in. She seeks online writing jobs, but they are all part-time. She needs something full-time. She starts networking with other writers at virtual reality writers forums and clubs. She publishes some articles on part-time sites, on the side, as she thinks up useful advice to help others make their lives easier. She browses through a local swap meet and buys some necessities she needs as she enjoys the sunny winter california days. She buys a cup of coffee and relaxes. She also buys another book that she wants to read, a book that is similar to her book, about an autobiography of another model. She decides to read it in order to compare it to her life. Then, all of the sudden, Firefox starts to act up. She spends the whole day with Avast Antivirus, deleting viruses and spyware. She thinks that this crap is coming in through Internet Explorer. It always seems to return and bring more malware into her computer even though she doesn't use Explorer anymore. The next day, after going to the college library, and researching on their computer, she finds Firefox toll free numbers, but they charge a fee. She writes it down anyway, but thinks, what cheapskates. When she arrives home, she gets on her computer, and Firefox seems to work better today. She decide to upgrade Firefox to Firefox 3, hoping it is better and it will combat the exe files and computer malfunctions. After downloading Firefox 3, she watches an episode of a tv show on her computer that she had missed last week.Life is slow, but seems to slowly improve. Is that going to be her 2009?
