The story so far:
The clacking of the letterbox woke him up. John raised his head from the desktop and wiped saliva from the dusty surface with his right sleeve. It was half past seven a.m. The article was done. He hit print and went to the bathroom.
He took a quick shower, shaved and dressed in a white cotton shirt and black leather pants. After putting on brown sneakers he returned to his office. The printer was done, clicked while cooling of. He grabbed the article and sent the computer into hibernation. Upstairs Giuliani ran around yelling, his wife screaming. The wall was quiet.
He put the article into his attachéfolder and went to maindoor. The mailman had dropped two letters: One from the phonecompany, the other an A4 envelope from City Hall. He put both on the commode to the left of the door and biked to work.
