The Magic Forest (Chapter Two)  by eric_hayden

Billy Bob then shows his grandfather the book on bugs. Billy Bob then asks his grandfather, “Are these the type of bugs that live in the Magic Forest?”

“A lot of them are. Some of these bugs can be pretty big though. Bigger than anything in the real world. But do not go in there, Billy Bob. I’m warning you. It’s very dangerous.” Billy Bob then continued looking at other books until it was time to go. When all five go back to the house, Billy Bob goes to his room right away to read his bug book. As he was reading the book he glances over at his closet. He really wants to go in there and find out how big these bugs are. Billy Bob decides he would wait until everyone was asleep and then he will sneak into the Magic Forest.

The entire family is eating at the kitchen table. As the family was eating dinner Billy Bob is still reading his book while eating. Billy’s father sees what his son is doing and says, “Billy Bob, you know it’s rude to eat at the table. Why don’t you put your book back into your room, and when you are done eating you can continue reading. Okay?”

Billy Bob thought about wanting to disobey his father, but what good comes from that? All his family would do is take away his book and he would have nothing to read. So Billy Bob decides to obey his father and put his book back into his room. As he does he thinks about wanting to, really badly, go into the Magic Forest and escape.

Once dinner is done the family gets ready for bed. Billy Bob’s mother, mother, and grandmother go to bed. When Billy Bob is about to go to bed his grandfather whispers to him from the living room, “Remember what I said. Don’t go into the Magic Forest. It’s dangerous.” Billy Bob nods and goes into his room. Once he closes the door he then has a smirk on his face. Billy Bob decides to wait for a little bit until his grandfather goes to bed. Billy listens to his grandfather brushing his teeth in the bathroom. When the grandfather is done he heads off to bed and all the lights are turned off. Billy Bob decides to pack some things for the trip of his lifetime. Billy Bob gets his backpack and puts his book in it. He then grabs some clothes just in case he gets too dirty. Once Billy is done with that he tries looking around for other things to take, but he can’t find anything. He decides this will be enough.

Billy Bob slowly opens his closet. At first it looks like a normal closet. Billy steps in and closes the door. He waits for a little bit, until he notices the room is starting to change. Magical colors that Billy Bob has never seen before start swirling around him. His mouth is wide open. After a while a giant white light explodes and Billy Bob flies back and falls down. Billy Bob gets up and realizes he’s in the Magic Forest. He looks around and is blown away by it. Billy Bob has a look of wonder. This is better than any toy store, Billy thinks. This is going to a fun adventure.
