The story so far:

"sogno della dinistia complete" -> (15 skipped) -> "methusela, the elder of the mind" -> "caasi's choice"

the great mouth, the door and the chasm  by dr3arms
as the chasm of nothing grew in power, so too, did the door of existence. the corpse of barney fife, now nothing more then a rotted, bloated, decomposed shell of its former self. his one remaining eye, long since blotted out by bursting blood vessels and the scorching cold, seemed fixated at the center of the field. suddenly, the ground cracked open like a hideous smile and let loose a veracious roar of ill gottten contempt. 'so... thisss.... is the battle field upon which all shall be merited or dissscredited.' the smile said in hissing tones. niether the door nor the chasm said anything, their perpetual staring contest going on uninterrupted as the ground seemed morel ively then before. it shifted its mvements from one side to the another always moving never ceasing to stop. 'thisss persssson.... this ragdoll like life that you have ussssed and thrown away like a old forbidden toy... i wonder how i shall usssse thisss plaything of the war. but that isss not for me to decide... no... it shall be for himself to choossse..' 

the corpse of barney fife seemed to float upon invisible strings, as if commanded by the very energies that bound the door and chasm to eternal silence. the remaining eye lolled to and fro as a skeletal hand uncoordinated till it found its mark, extend a single finger and pushed the eye back into its socket. the body then fell over into a clump pf severed body parts and each flew outward, only attached by a htin stream of long since dehydrated blood cells. 'ooo... it sssseemsss to want to liiive... i ssshall grant you extrordinary strength that would rival both of these old codgery fools, stuck in a grudge match long since dealt with by the pentulma. they alone shall be the final victorssss... NOW LIVE!' the smile shot out a single black string, thinner than the hairs on barney fifes head. it sunk deep into his dna like a cursed need and thread and repaired his dna and made him one thousand times stronger, then two thousand more for each one of the thousand previous. 

his body reparied itself and yet stayed in the same decomposed state it had been earlier. "what have you done to me!?" the mouth shakily screamed out as his human brain began to spark to life. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME!? I DEMAND ANSWERS NOW!?" the form of barney fife stretched out his arms and found that they flew out at his whim. he called them back, noticing the millions upon millions of threads that connected his new body. 'i have given you what you last thought, i have given unto you the strength one hundred and twenty nine fold that of morgan and reseac, and ten fold more then either the door or the chasm could ever produce!' barney fife created am irror from nothing and looked at his undead facial muscles, now more prominant and visible that they had been previously. "and who do i have to thank for this new undeserved life?" he said quietly, knowing that his days among the living were now over, not that he had ever truly lived to begin with. he looked upwards and saw to his greater terror the mouth that seemed to cover the whole sky, that horrid disgusting mouth, full of rows upon rows of teeth that seemed to be made out of death itself. they glowed with an eery red, almost liquid like movemnt. 

'i... am the elders of the dream, then ightmare, and the waking. i am the power of imagination brought forth through the intolerance of the golden strands! i am a force more terrible and have not a single life, but through the ocllective billions i am a god unto the comatose to which i feed off of their very life giving energies!' the mouth said, each word being said and repeated by each row of teeth that waggled to and fro. barney fife saw the throat of the mouth that seemed to be made of the cores of billions of insects, their buzzings, their terrifying heart beats and their billions of eyes all focused at barney fife, the sound driving him almost to the brink of madness. he found that his image in the mirror looking back at him with a glare most unfortunate, most disturbed, and most judging. 

its mouth moved. "i... am inssside of you... i control your very life, you very heart, how you move and what you say, how you think. but not yet, my power groans, incubates, and hardens inside of you. i am only able to keep you alive, but soon, very VERY soon..." barney found himself chuckling in that sinister voice, his left eye rolling around like a demented lightening bug until its glowing yellow pupil focused and a worm with one bright demon like eye blinked before slithering back inwards. "i will have complete controll of your already dead body. enjoy your freedom, barney fife, while you still can." 

the control left his body and barney, left alone, tired, hungry, and terrified between the three great threats to the three dimensions, desired to leave this place and warn the creature of the terrifying truth he had just discovered. 

the pentulma, who ever and what ever they represented, were coming back. and from the sound of the mouth, they were not happy at all.
