That was impressive. The beginning masturbation scene with the sun was pretty vivid. That same detail doesn't quite reach the rest of the piece, but that's probably for the best, get the rest of the story across.

A masterful piece of fiction, though frighteningly realistic. You definitely earned your 5 stars.

Seriously, grow up. Do you see any of my chapters at the top? Every time one gets close it sinks like an anchor. And its because of ignorant people like you, who come on here and vote it ones and twos for no reason. It’s not because of those of us that you left comments for. We take this site seriously and leave meaningful feedback and votes.
Our chapters are the ones that take the hits.
I can’t speak for the others but I really don’t care about the contest. I think I’ve made that clear before in other posts. Go ahead and give all my chapters a one if it makes you feel better. But I’m guessing your work…er, I mean your ‘friends’ work, still wont win anything.

LMAO... Oh my gawd... Well, I can see now how my chapters took such a dive. Here'a a clue for the cornybitch, we, as writers, take our work seriously and are on here to get positive feedback and better our craft. Three hundred dollars isn't going to put any kind of drop in our buckets. The contests are designed to lure other people into joining and contributing, but well, it's just attracting bottom feeders. So what is your real account name? You know, the one your "friend" posts their stories on. If your writing is sub-standard, it has no chance of competing, but that is no reason to smash the hell out of people who have talent and take time to actually generate work that is legible and worth reading. So, thank you for your time and wasted energy in typing your senseless comments. Maybe you'd care to tell us who your "friend is so that we, "The good ole boys and girls" can peruse the drivel and give some honest feedback, and an honest vote.

Enough of this ugliness! If enough people vote this comment up, I will ban this user (and any ip address they happen to try and re-register with) for violating many items under section 1 of the code of conduct.

Great question honeygloom! To vote a comment up or down, click the up or down arrows (they look like triangles) which appear just to the left of each comment. You should note the number which is just to the left of these arrows. This number will increase or decrease by one.

We obviously need better icons for this up/down voting, your suggestions are most welcome :)

I apologize for my rant…I just get tired, like others have already stated, of watching good chapters sink with either no comments…or bad ones like this.
It would be awesome if under each chapter it listed each name that voted and what their vote was. More effective even than forcing someone to leave a comment as there is no way to really know if the persons comment is real because there’s no link to the actual vote.
Anyhow…great info regarding the votes on comments. I’ve always wondered what that was. Like Writerwannabe I’ve clicked the arrows and I just get an error message. Must be my browser?

i removed all my votes. I don't wana be part of this site and my friends wont be logging back in either becos you people dont want variety you only want your friends to be here.

Hey corny…I’m actually really sorry that you and your friends feel that way. I apologize for my harsh comment yesterday…I was just reacting to being accused of something I didn’t do.
Ethan gave you an opportunity to explain yourself. If you have some justifications or points behind your accusations then please voice them. I think those of us that frequent this site appreciate all new comers. The more the merrier. Your right when you say there is a ‘good ol boys club…and it includes everyone out here who takes the time to submit and comment and appreciates the comments others leave them. Those who debate your criticisms, leave you poor comments in return and vote your story down because their ‘feelings are hurt’ will of course not be very well respected out here. So what was it exactly that caused you to say we do not want ‘variety’ and only want our ‘friends?’ (Which is sort of ironic considering those of us that you commented to don’t really know each other…yet you’re writing in defense of your actual friend)
This is a forum for writers. Now there is a group of us that all seem to read each others work and leave encouraging comments…but by no means do we shun other writers or gang up on them. Research our individual comments pages and you will see that. Psycho1_77 has just recently become a member here and he has quickly become one of my favorite writers. If your friend has written some quality work or if they have taken the time to read others work and left meaningful comments then they too could be part of the good ol boy network.
If you really like to read…then I hope you reconsider. I hope you take the time to express yourself. Take the time to read this chapter and comment on it for real. If you still don’t like it then give it a 1. And if your friend likes to write then I hope they reconsider too. Were just here to have fun.

Once I got over my initial irritation, I thought the whole thing was kind of amusing actually. And I do feel bad for your friend getting lost in the shuffle. Really though I have to thank you for the inspiration. I thought the idea of a group of us who, like Eleven said, don't even actually know each other and trying to rig the contest was pretty funny so I wrote a little scene about it kinda poking fun at those of us you gave comments to. And really, in all fairness to your friend, if you don't tell us who they are, how are we supposed to find them and check them out? There are A LOT of writers here and it is really hard to keep up. I try to make an effort to read all of the new stuff, but I'm not sure that's even possible. For what it's worth I for one promise that I would give your friend a fair read and leave fair comments if you tell us who they are.

Yeah, I feel the same way... I was just irritated because I watched my ratings sink further and further every day. I know that there are several people on here down voting in hopes to gain the edge and win the contest. I am actually thinking that the final judging should be done by site administrators, kind of like an electoral college type of thing... might make things more fair, but, I'm over it all... let the petty sink the ratings, I will still continue to write for those that enjoy my work, and more importantly, for myself because I love to do it...

Anyway, 11, this is great work and I gave it a 5. However... call me a sloppy alcoholic, but just one bottle of Boone's seems insufficient to fuel such inebriation over the course of an entire afternoon. Oh, well. It's still impressive. Belated congratulations!
