Your raw descriptions attack the polite sensibilities of the innocent. Screw them. But what the hell are 'coach roach guts'?

eh, i think maybe i meant 'cockroach guts', but somewhere between the bottom of the whiskey bottle and spellcheck, i wound up with 'coach roach.' haha
thanks for reading!

Gritty, unapologetic. A "straight-no-chaser" look at a character.

Wow, this is fantastic. How is it that this guy is an admitted total slob, but I already feel for him? And I'm loving the tension about the dream. Can't wait to see how that plays out!

All your intricate detail about the things immediately surrounding him when he woke up, the ashtray especially, was what really shined for me. All this chapter was great, but the image of that was crystal clear in my head and added so much to a character that we're just meeting. Show not tell -- that is EXACTLY what you did.

Best piece I've read on here in ages. Really spectacular.

I'd require medication to continue this.

Rumors of my dark side are mildly exaggerated, but you tap into a depravity I'm (at a minimum) appreciative I don't experience on a regular basis. Thankfully, your descriptions are vivid and dynamic; I can often feel and smell your scenes - two senses not always explored to potential.

Your stories are guilty pleasure. A different kind than Howard Jones fandom or the Atari 2600. More pleasure. Much more guilt.

Hope you're keeping your meds balanced.

Digusting indeed BazookaJones. What a slob. This guy reminds me of so many reasons why I need to maintain my sanity...it gets hard, I tell you. The choices in his life have put him in a depressed funk, and I agree with Ace...you manage to make us feel for him. Bravo.
