Wow, thanks for the wonderful comments! This was done as a writing exercise for my creative writing course, and truthfully, I wasn't too crazy about it. But now, my self-confidence in my work has been restored. I will keep expanding upon it and post the new revision once I get the chance to work on it.

Wow! The chills are most certainly running up and down my spine after reading that! Very nicely done! I was actually thinking of how I wanted to continue the story and my ideas were completely different, but I really like the direction you took. It really ups the suspense factor. I'm very squeemish when it comes to gore and the heart kind of creeped me out, but I was sucked in once the parents showed up. Great job! Thanks for mashing. I give you a 4.

Wow, very captivating. I really liked how the language was so simple yet it was talking about such complex emotions. My only criticism is watch for punctuation. Some was left out. But wonderful story content! Great job!
