the battle had already begun before it started, witch esters cockpit rick was slamming his five hands on the controls like a mad man on crack. "take this you giant bugs!" ester said as the metal frame her roots had become attached to moved and shifted. "i dont know how you see out of that thing..." oxe said as she bashed a visiosectiod in the face with a blast of condensed air, ripping all the insects segments to pieces. "im blind as a **** bat and esters the one doing the fighting." rick said as he pushed the control stick forwards while pulling the attached trigger. the result was a hail of gunfire and things being bitten in two.

two more bugs ran at ester and rammed into her side hard enough to shake the plant like woman off the metal frame, allowing rick to see what he was doing. "ARE YOU ALRIGHT ESTER?" rick shouted worried that his friend was hurt. "im doing just fine, i can finally stretch my roots and take my proper form. i really didnt mean to get tangled up in that thing rick-" another bug was just about to slam headfirst into ester but she opened up her mouth to reveal an endless row of razor sharp teeth. "oxe, donut, chuck!" she shouted while wrapping up several more bugs in her vast root system. 

oxe and chuck were having a hard time fending off the insects, however donut on the other hand was tearing off peices of himself and lobbing them into the distance, throwing his scent around the room and confusing the bugs even more. "yeah?" donut replied unaware of the bug about the take a bit out of his head. ester had his back though as she wrapped a root around its neck and another around its waist and tore it in half while smashing its head against a rock. 

"me and rick can handle these guy no sweat, however, we still have the rest of the colony to find as well. why dont you oxe and chuck get out of here and try to find them?" rick opened fire on anotehr three bugs, causing them to explode in hails of gun fire. "ITLL BE FINE! GET THE **** OFF OF ME YOU HARDSHELL!" he said as he pushed a small shotgun out one of the good sized air vents and pulled the trigger, shredding another three bugs in the proess of trying to knock him onto the ground. "ok, will do! you want me to leave an eye here so you can breathe?"  

donut was already on the job, knowing that esters massive leaves would produce enough oxegen to get them both through the fighting. "oxe, i got it covered, she needs sunlight to make her photosynthesis kick into high gear, ive already taken the liberty of places little peices of myself all over this room. those two will be fine! lets go!" oxe formed an air gun from her wind abilities but new types of visiosectiods were making there way through the typhoon of bullets and razor thin roots that were ripping through the vast majority of the bugs. "GO!"

and with that, they did, though they split up to make there search go a little bit easier. oxe had taken the liberty of sending one of her eyes with donut as he took a tunnel that went up, and another with chuck into a tunnel that dropped straight down. "ill be able to keep in cantact with you two this way, and youll have air as well." oxe noted as she tested the connections to both of the men. 

"be careful you two." oxe said quietly, but loud enough for both to hear. 

"you too!" they both seemed to say in unison.
