"A Change Of Heart"

The Escape.  by chloe2110
We got out the car at Newcastle city centre and went into the train station to have a hot chocolate at star bucks. My mum went to go for the order and my sister didn’t even flinch to go with her. What was I going to do?  Then I had an idea!“Mum, can I come with you to help carry the drinks over?” I asked sweetly.“NO!” My sister screeched, “I want to help you. She was naughty today!”My mum obviously took her side. Just as I had hoped.“Fine!” I said grumpily, secretly smiling. As soon as they were gone I grabbed the £200 out of Emily’s bag, grabbed my coat and ran. We were spending our Christmas money. I had £100 and Emily had £200. £300 altogether. That should be enough. I ran all the way to the ticket box. The ticket cost £73 because I did not have proof to show I was under 16 so I had to but an adult ticket.“Platform 3’s train is due in one minute or Platform 4’s in an hour!” The woman at the ticket office told me.I choose the train at platform 3 and I had less than a minute to get there and I wasn’t the fastest runner in my school. The train was just pulling up to the train station as I got there. I gave out a sign of relief. I stepped onto the train and chose a seat near the window next to three old ladies. As the train pulled away from the station I saw my mum and Emily running over the bridge screaming and waving like a lunatic. She knew which train I was on, she is going to kill me!
