Discussion of "Dream Post Mortem" by cat_craze

It is creative, vivid, surreal and interesting- but I don't understand it. I almost thought I did a couple of times but ended up basically confused. This may have been your intent, especially if you meant to leave it mashable, but I might have liked a couple of more clues as to what you had in mind. Good writing, though. I did enjoy reading it.

Haha, thanks! Now that you mention it- it would be quite confusing when someone else read it- i shall take that into consideration next time round.

The story comes from an overwhelming desire to reclaim something one does not realise on has lost. You wake up one day only to find yourself in the midst of a nightmare, you suddenly become aware of the void of silence and the darkness around you that you've always turned a blind eye to. The subconscious is a place where you can confront the things you suppress, here the dream acts as a metaphor for that feeling of lost ideals we often try to mask in our mundane lives.

- my story ended without the persona finding solace- but I really do hope someone can mash this story into something different!

The is lovely. A very ambitious thing to try to convey in prose.

This was a very interesting read. I like the way it is written. It's slightly confusing at times, but after rereading it, I figured it out. Very nice and an interesting use of prose.
