Bob Robert's Land O' Fun
by callawag
The smaller sign above the entrance was obvious enogh, after all, it was supposed to be. Everyone has seen it, "Enter at your own Risk". The thing that didn't equate was the fact that the bigger sign above this included the word fun. It wasn't that fun and risk didn't go hand and hand, I just can't remember when someone warned me about it. Wasn't it always a given? Nevertheless, I was drawn into the web as the carnival barker's boisterous bellows made me forget why I was even wandering by this day. "Come one, come all". It's the same phrase we've all heard before, but it's not what Sid Cuthrait said, it's how he said it. Not a better voice or face could be found for the "Land", as he was a born salesman. Like I suggested, it was how it was received, not the terms. He didn't address everyone, he spoke to you on an individual basis, as if dripping his heavy mashmallow voice into your ear enough to cloud your mind to hear only his calls. Before Sid's fog totally overtook my thoughts, from across the heavenly field I heard "We are not responsible for...". I took note but it faded as quickly as it was realized. Sid's hypnotic spell first cast us into the Lair of the Fire Breather, better known a Chuck Willsworth.
