An Absent Kingdom  by bristin

A sky of day and night

One that lights a sleeping dream

Sky of the rainbows swifting throughout

The world of magic and hope

Home to the creatures of myth and legend

The fairies wing’s beat and the Pegasus fly

Hushed land for miles on end

Contact of one’s hand and you are dreamlike

The artist’s innocence of a child’s vision

Satisfaction of peace

For everything the eye sees

Is pressed by the power of love

Warmth covers where the dream egg hides

An egg of mystic wilderness and true self

A photogenic child’s place of imagery

Creeping to a home of free and difference

Symptom of a child's medicine

No harm can be done upon any

Land of an infant’s mind leading you away

Lost home to adolescence of a true palace

Kingdom on the moon where the rabbits run

Princess and Prince call home there with all

Disappeared, invisible through the mist

An absent dimension calling out

Where anything exists…our imagination
